Day 1: 23-aug-2008 : we learn that what is sql plus & what is the component of that.it have been devide into two parts COMMAND & SQL.
in the component we just discus about the five major part of sql.
1. DDL : it means data definition language. command used in it are DROP,ALTER,CREAT.
2. DML : data manipulation language. command are UPDATE,DELETE, INSERT.
3. TCL : transection control language. command are COMMIT & ROLLBACK.
4. DCL : data control language. commands are GRANT & REVOKE.
5. QUERY: all the command which starts from select statement
Day 2: we have learn about creation of table.in this we covered the alter table & simply how we create pimary key through altration & create table.( Integrity Constraints)
what is primary key.
what is not null definition.
simple elemination of problem which aries during program execution.
next day problem : about foreign key.
i have been solved this problem & read about how to insert data into the table but getting some problem.
Day3 : this was the day when we discus about the table creation and the problem which arieses during table creation . now we learn about insert command & how can we modify the table with different command like alter table,modify& so on.
further we r going to start with difficult query which needed in the data base managment so we discuse that how we will use the the and ,,or & where. we have been some discussion about the join statement.
Day 4 : today we learn about the differnt type or join statement. like outer join , inner join, self join, equijoin. we understand that at which time we can use outer join .
further we will discuse about self join .today we also discuse about the elimination of key from the existing table.the most important thing is how we can identify that how we know the constraint name which r used in the existing table. its basically use for elemination of constraint.
Day 5 : today was the day when we learn about self join .basically it is a query that assume a single table into two part & then perform operation .
an interesting question comes infront of us that which one of the dml command execute faster among them & which is the slower one &why.
Day 6 ; today we learn that what is subquery? what is the syntex of that & why we use it.we have solved some problem deppending upon it. like how we delete duplicate row entry from the existing table.at that time we knew a new keyword rowid which is unique for every row in table but not fixed. it give physical address of a row.
Day7 : today we learn about what is group by function . how we can use it . sir give us asimple thumb rule about the group by function to run a query. there r diffrent component of group by function like sum, avg, min, max,count,stddev,varience.
Day 8 : now we r starting with character function in oracle.there r different type of char function
instr it is for the giving the location of a perticuler string in the main strin.
length it is for displaying length of given string.
trim it is for trimming of given string , it trims string by two function ltrim & rtrim.
pad it is invert of trim . here also two function lpad &rpad.
sub string .
Day 9 : Today we learn that how we use the trim & pad function in the live problem .it is very important for efficient programming. today ihave read some other char function like replace, translate.
Day 10 : we have been covered the substr & instring function with practically solved a problem on that. now we r starting with set operator in the query.
Day 11 : to-day we study about set operator . we practically use the union & union all operator. we taken an overview of minus,intersect etc. operator.
Day 12 : Now we reading that how we can create view . & what is view & what is the use of view . we practically examine that how view are useful for diffrent types of user.
Day 13: today we study the another type of view which is inline view.the important thing is that in this case we need not to create a view it will create automatically.
Day 14: this is the day when we discuss htat what is number function .there are many number function but today we deeply study about what is date function ,what is coalesce function ,what is nvl function.
Day 15 : now we study that how we can we find the month between two dates, year between two dates, what is trunc function in date, what is round function in date .
Day 16 : now we have an assignment that how you calculate interest in any given table.
Day 17 : Now we discuss about sql plus . that what is sql plus how we r using it as atool of oracle. we learn some commands in it . like desc,ed, etc.
Day 18 :today we learn that how we can write a code for creating report in sql plus.
Day 19 :now we deeply learn about the command ttitle, column , set,break.
Day 20 :to day we complete comput command,
